The main objective of this thesis was to explore the possibility of using photo-assisted reactions to prepare porous carbons and metal/carbon nanohybrids. Thus, UV photoinduced polycondensation was implemented to freeze the auto-organized structures formed by certain polyphenols, which are capable of trapping Ag or Au metal nanoparticles.
